Summary Case Management and Domestic Abuse Cases: Free Online Event

July 30, 2025

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

The roll-out of Summary Case Management (SCM) across Scotland by the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) and Police Scotland offers real hope of reducing the wait that survivors have to endure prior to the resolution of their case and, potentially, reduces the likelihood that they will have to proceed to trial at all.

This 1-hour briefing session, delivered by COPFS’ Lora Apostolova, will explain the changes being introduced, the impact they had during the initial pilot study and allow domestic abuse practitioners to learn about the new system.

It hosted by the Moray Violence against Women Network, free to attend, and highly recommended for anyone in Scotland who works with those affected by domestic abuse.

This session is being held online on Wednesday 30 July (12 – 1pm) and you can register your place here.  For more information please contact: emma.plant@moray.gov.uk
