You are invited to attend an online webinar on Thursday 12 June (10.00 – 12.30) focusing on exploring approaches to lived experience participation within workforces.
The Authentic Voice Project (the AV Project) supports organisations and projects in Scotland to consider actions they can take to ensure that people with lived experience of violence against women and girls (VAWG) and other forms of trauma have meaningful opportunities to shape the local systems and services with which they engage.
We recognise that many staff will have their own lived experience of trauma and this can have an impact, directly or indirectly, within their places of work. Our project has consistently heard that those with lived experience can feel ‘othered’ and this event will provide an opportunity to explore the complexities of visibility within the workplace for people with lived experience of VAWG and trauma. It will also showcase good practice and allow for cross sector knowledge sharing and discussions about existing examples of work and perspectives from organisations working with people affected by VAWG and trauma.
More information on the agenda for this event will be available soon, and you can register your space here.
