Domestic Abuse – National Emergency?

Our Head of Scotland, Jess Denniff, told The Scottish Sun: “This is one of the biggest public health emergencies in Scotland and it’s just not treated as one.”

The incoming Scottish Government must act at the scale this crisis demands: listen to survivors, invest in specialist support, strengthen the whole-family response, prevent abuse earlier, and make this a priority across Government.

Scotland has the expertise to get this right. Now it needs the political will to turn that expertise into action, so safety does not depend on where you live, who you tell, or whether the system joins the dots in time.
